Click Bait Power: Thumbnails

 In Your Face Thumbnails

Introduction

A lot of people unfamiliar with this word just view them as some introductory image to a video they are planning to watch, but overlook the power of what this image does. First of all, wasn't it it that caught your attention? Did you have a reaction? Did your curiosity tell you to click on it? That's the power thumbnails possess and if used correctly, can increase one's views. But honestly, internet has started to abuse this marketing tool. I'm talking about those "In Your Face Thumbnails" that are usually covers for nonsensical work. Those "Make $30 a minute" doing things like listening to music, clicking ads, sharing files, etc. The list just goes on.

The Screaming Face

The screaming faces are just ridiculous! How are people drawn into clicking that video. Yet again, click bait catches everyone. I find this practise more amusing than irritating. These videos are basically screaming for me to take action and click them, only to be honestly disappointed by the deceiving information that video has.

The Content Behind The Thumbnail

The usually content behind these faces dissolves all hopes of finding financial freedom, that beauty product, that job interview prep card, etc. Whatever video that had that thumbnail that got you to click on it will get you so excited, that when you go try to method the results are just heart-breaking. Back to the drawing board. But what did we expect!? Content that rivals ancient knowledge of the age of gods that could possibly drive humanity to higher power and salvation? Haha, sorry we had to laugh.

Verdict

We say, surf through youtube with an open mind free from deceiving images, as these outshine the ones that have professionally thought thumbnails that are proven to be full truth over fantasies. For example, a thumbnail with a screaming lady telling you how you can make $200 in an hour by clicking ads? Or an honest thumbnail of a blogger showing you how you can monetize your website or blog? All up to you.
